Sondergaard’s ECOastal Stripping Basket is the result of the combination of light-weight materials, ergonomic design and functionality.

This comfortable and easy-to-use stripping basket comes equipped with flexible spikes that prevent line tangles. An adjustable velcro-fitted belt keeps the stripping basket in place and the half-open tray effectively keeps track of your flyline.

The Sondergaard Ecoastal line basket was developed for the coastal fisherman, and is one of the best and most well-thought-out products we have used in a long time.

Don't be fooled by the foam material these baskets are made of. This foam is extremely light, extremely sturdy and very flexible! The foam also makes the basket float.

The foam is cut on a CNC machine and then welded together, without the use of hard glue.
This production technique results in super functional line baskets, which have only received high praise from the many fishermen who have purchased a Sondergaard ECoastal line basket.

The spikes used in the Sondergaard Ecoastal line curve are the result of continuous improvements, and the spikes now used are absolutely perfect for the changeable weather encountered on the coast.
They have just the right length, softness and flexibility, as well as just the right placement in relation to avoiding line tangles – even with thin monofilament shooting lines. 

The Ecoastal line basket has an excellent “fit” and sits incredibly well around the waist.
The basket has 12 drainage holes so that the fly line does not lie and slosh around in the basket.

The design of the line basket ensures that the fly line encounters the least possible resistance during the cast, resulting in long, problem-free casts.
Especially in winter, with very cold hands, the basket is super easy to use and extremely gentle if you happen to hit your fingers on the edge of the basket.

The line basket comes with an adjustable stretch belt with Velcro on the back, which is used to mount and dismount the line basket without the need to remove the belt itself.

The Ecoastal line basket has a built-in horizontal rod holder, so both hands are free when changing flies or handling fish, for example.
